The final report of the Thematic Consultation on Health in the post 2015 development agenda is now finalised and accessible ONLINE. Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights are featured as one of the main priorities for any future health goal or target in the post 2015 agenda. Equity, equality and reproductive health are mentioned as key components to achieve any health goal in the future global development. 
ASTRA Network contributed to this important report with its regional health consultation which was coorganised with East European Women's Network for SRHR and WHO. The consultation took place on 26-27 January 2013 in Moscow, Russian Federation. It resulted with an outcome report adressing health and post 2015 development agenda in Central and Eastern Europe region.

The current ICPD + 20 process is timing to review the implementation of the Programme of Action (PoA) agreed by the International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo in 1994. In the region comprising Europe, North America, Central Asia and Israel, the UN Economic Commission for Europe has coordinated the conduct of global survey on ICPD PoA implementation in its Member States. Based on the results and available data UNECE is preparing a report which will assess the progress made and identify good practices and contrains in implementing ICPD PoA in the region. This report will be launched at the UNECE Regional Conference in July which will mark the culmination of the review process in this region.

Irina Costache from A.L.E.G., Romania, ASTRA Board Member, delivered a statement during the 4th UN High Level Panel Meeting roundtable discussion on women's rights and the post 2015 development framework. The meeting was was held in Bali on March 25-27. You can read her statement online. Enjoy!

The UN High Level Panel is meeting for the 4th time in Bali to discuss the future development agenda in regards to the MDGs. The Global Civil Society Consultations took place on 23rd and 24th of March. Irina Costache from A.L.E.G., Romania is representing ASTRA Network at this crucial meeting.

The Civil Society and participants of the Women’s Caucus came forth with a  Civil Society Communiqué which includes several references to sexual and reproductive health and rights, in addition to the references in the other outcome documents that have also gone forward to the High Level Panel on Saturday and Sunday - thanks to the collective efforts of APA, ASTRA, ARROW, DAWN, IPPF and IWHC, as well as other organizations. This Civil Society Communiqué was presented in the morning plenary at the HLP meeting on Monday, 25th of March.
